How to Shop Online

Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

Prices shown on the site are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of European Union sales tax (VAT). All prices and offers remain valid as advertised from time to time. The price of a product displayed on the website at the time the order is accepted will be honoured. If you are buying from outside the UK, you will also incur carriage costs and any import duty, local taxes or other charges imposed by the jurisdiction to which you have specified delivery. The final price for overseas customers will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer processes the transaction. Please refer to the section on Shipping below.

Acceptance of your Order

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is NOT an acceptance of your order. Acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Alice & Astrid will be confirmed when we despatch the goods to you.

We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorisation for payment, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out above.

We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any merchandise from our site whether or not that merchandise has been sold.

Payment/Secure Shopping

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Delivery Schedule

Alice & Astrid aims to despatch all orders within 48 hours, all items are sent with Royal Mail recorded delivery and will need to be signed for. If you require urgent delivery or you have special requirements please email us astrid@aliceandastrid.com

Back Orders

We do not operate a back ordering system.

Privacy Policy

Alice & Astrid do not disclose its customers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the recipient will be under an obligation not to disclose any of the details to any other person. Our data collection and storage is governed by the Data Protection Act 1998.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.

Returns Policy

We have taken every care to produce the uppermost quality product. If, however, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will refund or exchange the garment within 14 days of receipt, provided that the product is still in perfect condition, unworn with all tags attached. Please fill in our returns form stating whether you would like to refund or an exchange. Package the form and the product into a parcel and send back to us by recorded delivery. We do not accept responsibility for goods lost in transit.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

Product description and prices

Every care has been taken to ensure that product description, prices and specifications are as accurate as possible. Representation of colour is as accurate as the photographic processes and screen variations will allow.

Part of the charm of Alice & Astrid collections are the natural methods of production employed in the manufacture of the products, a consequence of which is that variations may occur.

Alice & Astrid prints are designed by us and are exclusive to our brand. The print runs are limited and therefore when buying an Alice & Astrid garment you are purchasing something which is special & unique.
